A 700 bedded multi-specialty research hospital caters to the clinical material necessary for effective medical training. The hospital is well equipped with all modern diagnostic and therapeutic amenities for patient care. The hospital is well patronized and excellent clinical material is available for imparting the requisite practical skills for the medical students.
Apart from the speciality related wards, the hospital has a ultra modern intensive care units, which include an ICU, ICCU, PICU and a NICU, to care for the critically ill. A burns ward and a dialysis unit provide additional healthcare facilities. Twelve operation theatres with required amenities cater to all surgical requirements of the patients.
The Pathology, Microbiology, & Biochemistry laboratories in the hospital are of impeccable standards, and provide the requisite diagnostic facilities to the clinicians. State of the art equipment and experienced staff ensure accurate and timely reports.
The radiology department with facilities of MRI, Spiral CT Scan, X-ray plants and ultrasonography provide the required radiodiagnostic backup for the clinicians. C- Arm X – Ray Machine for orthopaedic operations and procedures is also installed. This round-the-clock service helps in trauma and emergency as in CT guided aspiration and biopsies.
The Hospital Pharmacy is well stocked with all the required drugs. The hospital has taken a policy to supply most of the commonly used drugs free, as a community service to patients from the rural area.
The Residents’ hostel in the campus has 200 well furnished single rooms, and has a mess with dining facilities. The residential accommodation for the staff nurses in the hospital accommodates 200 nurses, in well furnished and ventilated dormitories.
