DEPARTMENT - ORTHOPAEDICS

The department aims to have a trauma centre with 24 hours emergency care, a sports injury department, limb lengthening and deformity corrections and surgeries.

The department has 6 wards with 60 beds with two dressing rooms and one lecture hall.

The department has a Minor OT for emergency and minor procedures, and a superbly equipped physiotherapy department.

A modern seminar hall with audiovisual aids and a well-stocked departmental library provides the infrastructure for academic training

Facilities available in the Dept of Orthopaedics are as follows:

• Two units are functional with excellent faculty, all with long Teaching Experience. 
• Department has 4 consultation rooms, one Plaster room, two Dressing rooms, one plaster removal room, one record room, one waiting area,  one Seminar Hall (one portable X-ray machine.
• Facilities for total hip, total knee arthroplasty, Arthroscopy of knee, Hip and shoulder available.
• External fixation, limbs reconstruction by ILIZAROV method  and A.O.  Reconstruction Surgery of the spine is undertaken.
• A modern Seminar Hall with Audiovisual Aids and a well-stocked Departmental Library facilitates learning for students.
