DEPARTMENT - MICROBIOLOGY

Department of Microbiology has well established laboratory for undergraduate training in the college premises. A departmental library and a museum which have descriptive charts, models and specimens are available.

MVJ Hospital has a service laboratory catering to the diagnostic investigations in bacteriology, serology, Parasitology, Mycology, Virology and Immunology for the inpatients and outpatients.

National health programmes like VCTC and RNTCP are also attached to this department. This department has been participating in External Quality Assurance programme run by Indian Association of Medical Microbiologists (IAMM).
