Inauguration of “BRAINS Neuro Spine Centre”


MVJ Medical College and Research Hospital in collaboration with BRAINS Neuro Spine Centre started a state-of-the-Art Neuro Surgical Centre to cater all the patients from Hoskote and the surrounding rural areas. The Brains centre in the MVJ MC & RH will be functioning under the direct supervision of Dr.N.K.Venkataramana, Chairman of Brains Neuro Spine Centre.

“World Blood Donors day 2018” celebration – 25.06.2018

“World Blood donors day” is celebrated every year to mark the birth anniversary of Karl Landstiener, the pioneer behind discovery of ABO blood group system. The event is used to acknowledge Voluntary blood donors and raise awareness about the necessity of regular blood donation to ensure availability of blood products for patients in need. This year the theme was “share life, give blood”.

“World blood donors day” was celebrated at MVJ Medical College & Research Hospital on 25.06.2018 in the august presence of our Chief Executive officer Mrs Dharani, Principal Dr Venkatadri T V, Medical superintendent Dr Surinder Singh, Chief Blood bank officer Dr Uma Bai K R, all the heads of departments and other faculty. It was largely attended and well received by staff & students.

A blood donation camp was held on this occasion in the hospital premises. Blood grouping was performed on 40 individuals and hemoglobin estimation was done for 30 people, following which 35 fit individuals donated blood and contributed to our inventory of blood products.

Thus “World blood donors day” celebrations concluded on a successful note.

seventh Graduation Day Celebration

Seventh Graduation Day function was held at Vedantha Auditorium of MVJMC & RH on 12th March, 2016 between 10.30 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. Dr. G. Parameshwara, Hon. Minister for Health, Govt. of Karnataka was the Chief Guest. Swamy Sukhabodhananda was the Guest of Honour . Dr. M.J. Mohan, Chairman, MVJ MC & RH presided over the function. 70 MBBS students who graduated were presented with certificates and also medals after taking the oath. Parents of the graduating students participated in large numbers and made the function colourful. The function concluded with vote of thanks and national anthem, followed by lunch.
